Black and white photography is a passion that began to surface in 2005. Since then I have become increasingly prolific when it comes to presenting my unique view of the

world’s seascapes, shorelines, streets and architecture in this fashion.

I choose to shoot primarily in black and white because I find it less distracting than color. Black and white images let the eye wander with the lines and shapes that make up

the mood and feeling in my images. I find that textures as seen in a black and white photograph contrast in such a way that they exude a sense of peace within a rugged

place, for example the look of weathered rocks against a calm ocean as seen in a black and white image opens a calmness within me.

My images tend to lend themselves toward the darker side of our earth’s landscapes. I have always had a fascination with the earth’s formation, particularly with all the

hostility it has endured over billions of years in order to become the earth we know today. This fascination along with my love of black and white long exposure photography

combines in such a way that my works are described as eerie, surreal, ominous and hauntingly beautiful.

My images are currently produced using an all digital workflow and printed with Epson HDR inks on Moab Fine Art papers and also UV inks directly onto dibond aluminum.

I am currently exploring the possibilities of printing on other various types of metals. The search for my future media is ongoing.

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1976, and currently reside with my Wife and two Sons in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
